This position is responsible for reviewing financial/insurance information obtained to meet State, Federal and Third-Party billing requirements and to ensure reimbursement for services.
What you will do
Satisfy admission notice requirements with pre-certification and HMO companies
Review and process Self Pay patients for government assistance, arrange for financial agreements for hospital and Anesthesia, and solicit payment for non-covered services
Edit, update and file all new information gathered for each admission and assist patients with billing related inquiries
Minimum Qualifications
High School Graduate or equivalent, college experienced preferred
2-3 years Patient Accounting, Financial Counseling. Knowledge of billing regulations helpful
Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred
