Are you passionate about ensuring seamless access to healthcare services? Trinity Health Senior Communities (THSC) is seeking a dedicated Access & Financial Clearance Specialist to join our team! What You’ll Do:Verify primary and secondary insurance coverage, including Medicare and Medicaid.Work closely with case managers to obtain authorizations and ensure accurate documentation in EMR.Conduct resident and responsible party interviews to gather registration details.Request and maintain Power of Attorney and Advance Directive documents.Identify and escalate payer or technical issues to the department supervisor.Analyze processes and recommend improvements to reduce claim denials.Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Minimum Qualifications:Education & Experience: High School Diploma. A minimum of one year of experience in healthcare financial services, insurance verification, or financial clearance required.Healthcare Knowledge: Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care contracts, and payer verification processes. Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility, hospital, clinic, or insurance company is preferred.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with EMR systems (Netsmart Vision, e-Solutions, Waystar preferred). Ability to type with speed and accuracy.Communication & Problem-Solving: Strong written and verbal communication skills, customer service focus, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Ability to research, analyze, and resolve payer and provider issues.Personal Accountability: High degree of independence, critical thinking, flexibility, and organizational skills.
