Patient Placement Center Specialist supports care for Providence St Joseph Health (PSJH) patients by coordinating the patient intake process. He/she will be involved in taking and triaging calls, and facilitating inbound and outbound transfers for/from PSJH facilities. The employee will be responsible for assisting team to problem solve complex critical cases and situations.

He/she will triage calls, verify insurance/authorization, follow up on cases to expedite transfers, facilitate consultation between physicians and arrange medical transport.

Required Qualifications:

Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience require. 1-3 years of healthcare related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in healthcare related field
