Posting Summary Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Patient Navigator for the Medicine Department within NJMS- Infectious Disease.

The primary purpose of the Patient Navigator is to implement and ensure integrity of the processes to determine eligibility, sliding fee scale, and monitoring cap on charges of eligible Ryan White (RW) patients.

Among the key duties of the position are the following: Learn and implement all Ryan White (RW) financial standards; eligibility, sliding fee scale and monitor cap on charges and other grant guidelines as appropriate. Ensure compliance with RW eligibility process in the clinic. Conducts quality controls daily and weekly (e.g. room temperature, freezer temperature, run controls, run performances, in-house and RWJ testing logs) Functions as a team member to organize and prioritize responsibilities to complete work assignments. Remains cognizant of peaks and troughs in work activity and aids others during slow periods.  Ensures compliance with University, local, state and federal government project policies and procedures relative to financial transactions.  Develop and maintain effective working relationships with providers, members, program partners and program funders  Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week Daily Work Shift Work Arrangement Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 or the applicable provisions of relevant collective negotiations agreements, this position requires a fully on-site work arrangement and may be eligible for a compressed workweek or a flex workday schedule.
