Posting Number NONAC3506 Job Title Patient Navigator Position Title Patient Navigator Position Type Non-Faculty Number of vacancies 1 Salary Commensurate with experience Department Family Medicine Position Summary The Project Coordinator & Health Navigator will serve a dual role within the Center for Excellence in Digital Health Equity and the NFL PRESS Project. This individual will be responsible for coordinating key aspects of clinical trials or research projects, as well as functioning as a Health Navigator to provide comprehensive care support to patients.

Minimum Qualifications Key Qualifications: Extensive knowledge and training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP). Experience in managing clinical trials and research projects. Proficient in data management and auditing clinical operations. Strong communication skills for interfacing with research participants, staff, and external stakeholders. Proven ability in training and guiding staff. Competency with electronic medical records and care delivery technology platforms.

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Certification or experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator or similar role. Experience in patient education and support. Preferred Qualifications Education and Experience: Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.

Job Duties

Description of Job Duty
Serve as a primary contact for patients (retired athletes), providing education, addressing queries, and communicating treatment recommendations. Collect clinical data from EMR and directly from patients. Conduct training on hypertension and use EMR and care delivery platforms. Input, coordinate, and manage manual patient data entries when digital devices are unavailable. Communicate with patients regularly throughout the program, potentially handling over 1000 measurements. Coordinate the support of phlebotomy, specimen collection, or diagnostic tasks. Provide occasional supervisory duties and leadership in policy/process improvement implementation. Execute additional responsibilities as approved and related to the dual role. Implement recruitment strategies for research participants and implement retention techniques for long-term trials. Provide leadership and corrective actions to improve processes and operations. Monitor and manage IRB submissions, study sponsor interactions, and report SAEs while resolving study queries. Interface with research programs, addressing concerns and managing protocol-related issues. Pre-Employment/Employment Requirements
