\nPay: $25.00 - $26.00
\nJOB SUMMARY:
\nReimbursement Representative – Patient Pay I is responsible for generating patient statements and mailing in a timely manner. Triage patient calls in a professional manner. Accurate processing of credit card payments for all patient and insurance payments.
\nMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
\n1. Assures billing processes are compliant with payer requirement for Government,
\nCommercial Health Plans and Medical Group payers.
\n2. Escalate calls, emails, US mail for complex patient pay issues to Level II Patient Pay or Lead Patient Pay.
\n3. Analyze and rectify claims issues with patients by answering calls promptly and
\nprofessionally.
\n4. Ensures accuracy and completeness of patient pay statements prior to mailing to the patient or guarantor.
\n5. Assures required medical documentation forms are reviewed in the document manager before quoting patient pay responsibilities.
\n6. Reviews and assures claims are processed and paid in full according to contractual agreements.
\n7. Communicates and addresses patient responsibility issues with Lead Patient Pay for resolution in a timely manner.
\n8. Handles patient calls promptly with professionalism.
\n9. Must be able to prioritize, multi-task, meet goals and deadlines.
\n10. Protects patient health information by following regulations for HIPAA compliance.
\n11. Performs other related duties as directed by Lead, or upper management.
