The Patient Placement Coordinator is responsible for the placement of patients from internal departments and outside facilities in an accurate and timely manner based on specified Patient Placement guidelines.
Work Schedule:
0.8 FTE D/E every other weekend
Required Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent Minimum three years recent experience in an acute care setting Previous customer service experience, medical terminology and strong computer Drive for outcome and results by facilitating an exceptional customer experience Excellent communication skills Demonstrated negotiation abilities Attentive and active listening skills Strong interpersonal skills Teamwork Demonstrated mentoring abilities Knowledge of Infection Control practices to facilitate placement of patients with precaution requirements Proven proficiency in the operation of the following: telephone, pager system, photocopier, computer, fax, and printer.Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Health Unit Coordinator, Licensed Practical Nurse, Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician Previous hospital staffing experienceBenefits:
