PATIENT PORTAL SPECIALIST

Patient Portal Specialist is responsible for supporting our patients in accessing and utitlizing their patient portal.  He/she coordinates patient portal inquires and patient set-up as requested. This position requires excellent customer service to customers and PRHC staff.  Performs other duties as assigned to help support the Health Information department.

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required. One or more years of medical record or release of information experience preferred.  Clerical and customer service experience required. Must have strong computer skills with keyboarding, data entry, and office machines. Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English. Strong written, oral, and positive communication skills. Ability to understand and carry out detailed directions with independence. Must demonstrate the critical thinking skills required to complete all aspects of job description. Must demonstrate a strong work ethic and responsibility. Must demonstrate ability to multi-task and handle a busy workload.
