Summary:
Obtains referrals and authorizations for BayCare Medical Group practice offices. Utilizes practice management system and other software to gain information to assist in processing referrals. Understands and works with various insurance payer rule sets, payer manuals and assist providers, practices and staff in timely turnaround of authorizations and referrals. Cross trains to assist practices in other front and back office functions. Perform other duties as assigned. Familiarity & ability to use Various software including Availity, Emdeon and other systems.

One year of healthcare experience required. Experience with obtaining authorizations for a Specialty office and experience using on-line payer authorization systems preferred.
