About the Role:
A Hospital in Los Angeles is seeking a dedicated and experienced Patient Registration Supervisor to lead our dynamic team in the Emergency Department. In this critical role, you will oversee all aspects of patient registration services, ensuring that our team delivers exceptional service to patients, families, and clinical staff in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Your leadership will play a key role in managing operations efficiently while maintaining compliance with organizational, legal, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Supervise and coordinate day-to-day patient registration activities, ensuring accurate collection of patient demographics and insurance information.
+ Train, mentor, and support team members to ensure high performance and adherence to policies.
+ Collaborate with Emergency Department clinical staff to ensure a seamless patient intake process to enhance patient experience.
+ Monitor and assess performance metrics to optimize registration workflows and meet departmental goals.
+ Serve as the central point of contact for escalated issues, addressing patient and staff concerns promptly and effectively.
+ Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements while overseeing registration processes.
+ Coordinate staffing schedules to ensure full department coverage during operating hours.
+ Identify and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in patient registration or administration within a healthcare environment, including at least 1 year in a supervisory/leadership capacity.
+ Strong knowledge of insurance verification processes, medical terminology, and HIPAA regulations.
+ Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office applications.
+ Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
+ Ability to thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
