The Work:
Schedules appointment times using computerized scheduling programsCommunicates with medical and clinical staff to ensure the availability of facilities and staff and intake preauthorization’s at the time of schedulingCommunicates with patients and/or their families, as permissible, to provide necessary pre-procedure instructions and to confirm appointmentsIntakes demographics, insurance information, and pre-authorizations as necessary for all scheduled encountersYou Have:
1+ year of experience in a medical office, healthcare access center, or similar setting, with specific experience in scheduling and registering patientsA proven ability to manage a high volume of outgoing and incoming calls in a busy call-center or office environmentStrong interpersonal and customer service skills, including effective listening, clear communication, problem-solving abilities, and a compassionate, professional demeanorFamiliarity with medical terminology and proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systemsExperience with electronic scheduling systems and a comprehensive understanding of healthcare insurance processes, particularly in an oncology settingA dedication to providing exceptional patient care and attention to detail in scheduling and information managementScheduled Weekly Hours:40Scheduled Work Shift:Day (United States of America)Job Exempt: NoBenefits:Supporting all aspects of our employees’ wellness – physical, emotional and financial – is a critical component of being a great place to work.
