Description We are on the lookout for a diligent Patient Service Representative to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be a pivotal part of our patient services team, focusing on enhancing patient experiences and optimizing the financial performance of our healthcare facility. Your core responsibilities will include processing patient registrations, maintaining up-to-date patient records, and managing patient inquiries. Additionally, you will monitor patient accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary.
Responsibilities:
• Accurate and efficient processing of patient hospital check-ins
• Maintaining meticulous records of patient credit
• Handling patient inquiries with empathy and understanding, addressing their concerns and questions
• Collaborating with physicians and nurses to ensure smooth registration processes
• Utilizing multiple software programs to input patient details accurately and promptly
• Assisting patients in completing their registration, understanding their health plans and coverage
• Navigating through fast-paced work environments, often on feet, and adapting to unexpected situations
• Building rapport with patients in real time, asking follow-up questions to ease their anxiety
• Utilizing the Epic System and Epic Software for various tasks such as answering inbound calls, authorizations, benefit functions, and billing functions
• Working as part of a supportive team, contributing towards achieving collective career goals. Requirements • Proficiency in answering inbound calls, ensuring effective communication with patients, and addressing their concerns promptly.
• Experience with authorizations, including insurance and medical service authorizations.
• Knowledge of benefit functions, including understanding and explaining patient benefits.
• Familiarity with billing functions, capable of handling billing inquiries and issues efficiently.
• Ability to work with charts and graphs for data presentation and analysis.
• Proficiency with the Epic System for managing electronic health records.
• Experience with Epic Software, demonstrating a high level of competence in using this healthcare software. TalentMatch®
