Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Patient Service Representative in Everett, Washington, United States within the Healthcare/NHS industry. As a Patient Service Representative, you will be a crucial part of our dedicated healthcare team, focusing on managing administrative tasks, facilitating patient appointments, and acting as a communication bridge between patients, caregivers, and our medical staff.
Responsibilities:
• Greet patients and their families, creating a welcoming environment within the oncology clinic.
• Efficiently manage and confirm patient appointments using electronic systems.
• Verify and manage patient insurance details, addressing any insurance-related inquiries.
• Handle patient co-payments, deductibles, and payments for services provided and assist with billing queries.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, complying with healthcare privacy regulations such as HIPAA.
• Serve as a communication link between patients, caregivers, and medical staff, relaying necessary information and messages.
• Provide general administrative support, including handling phone calls, managing office supplies, and maintaining an organized reception area.
• Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and address patient needs.
• Exhibit empathy and compassion while addressing patient concerns, ensuring their needs are met promptly.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage inbound telephone calls.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA patient privacy rules and handle electronic medical records. Requirements • Proficiency in handling inbound telephone calls, demonstrating excellent communication skills and patient service
• Ability to multitask effectively, managing multiple responsibilities and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems for maintaining patient records and scheduling appointments
• Strong understanding and adherence to HIPAA compliance requirements, particularly the Patient Privacy Rule, ensuring the protection of patient information
• Proven experience in scheduling patient appointments, coordinating with various departments and ensuring patient convenience and satisfaction TalentMatch®
