Patient Services Representative is a unique position that varies daily based on the clinical or clerical staffing needs of the practice. Duties often include supporting the providers in the practice with clinical activities and direct patient care as well as assisting patients and staff with the administrative and clerical needs of the practice.\n

Roles and Responsibilities:\n\nMaintain client confidentiality at all times.\nGreet clients, collect payments and\/or insurance information, and direct them using appropriate and respectful customer service skills.\nComplete the enrollment of new clients and obtain all necessary consents\/documentation required per the regulations and policy.\nAnswer phones and transfer calls to requested provider or assist caller with needed information, retrieve detailed messages and relay to appropriate staff.\nCollaborate with interdepartmental services to verify patient demographics, procedural ordering, and service authorization.\nCoordinate with corresponding clinics to schedule all client appointments.\nReconcile provider and schedules with procedural unit schedules and verify appropriate block utilization.\nCreate and organize all aspects of patient charts, generate reports as requested, and maintain adequate levels of office supplies.\nManage the operations of the front desk of the department, provide a welcoming forward-facing demeanor for all incoming outpatients and provider requests.\nPerform clerical tasks including but not limited to scanning and tracking of documents, as well as coordinating all incoming and outgoing mail.\nServe as an effective member of the team, being helpful to others at all times.\nOther duties as assigned\n\n
Required Skills and Experience:\n\nHigh School Diploma, or equivalent experience\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite\nStrong interpersonal skills with experience in customer service\nGood time management and prioritization skills\n\n

Preferred Skills and Experience:\n\nPrevious medical office experience\nCollege-level training\/education in a healthcare support field\nPrevious EMR use\/training\nExperience with Electronic Medical Record Systems such as Meditech, Medent, and Epic\nA basic understanding of addiction and chemical dependency treatment\n\n

Location and Travel Requirements:\n\nOnsite at 334 W. State St.\nShifts generally scheduled between 6:15am and 5pm M-F. Clinic open Saturdays 8am-12:30pm. Will be expected to work some Saturdays if not initially assigned.\n\n

Pay Range Disclosure:\n\n$15 to $23.50 per hour\n\n
