Location: 11245 W Lincoln Hwy, Mokena IL 60448

Position Type: Full Time

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Compensation: Hourly Rate - $19.00-$20.00/hour based on experience

 

When patients enter our outpatient physical therapy center, we want them to have an exceptional experience – starting at the front desk. That’s where you come in. As a patient service specialist, you’ll manage both the patient side and business side of our center. Don’t underestimate the impact you can make on every patient’s care experience, even before they leave the waiting room.

Responsibilities ResponsibilitiesGreet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check outSchedule patient appointments in person and via phoneCollect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verificationsRegular communication with parties such as therapists, insurance companies, attorney offices, translation companies, market operational leaders and business development team

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements:

Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with co-workers and patientsAbility to multi-task phone, computer, and in-person interactionsAbility to use computer scheduling software (with appropriate training)Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people and understand written directionAbility to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directionsAppropriate manual dexterity to enable typing (including 10-key) and mouse use throughout a work day/shiftAbility to walk, stand, bend, and reach consistently throughout a work day/shiftAbility to lift up to 25lbs, safely, from ground to waist using proper body mechanicsAbility to carry office supplies up to 10lbs Additional Data
