**Overview** Patient Service Specialist West Frankfort, IL Position will serve as PSS for the West Frankfort clinic. Potential scheduled 8 am to 6 pm on Monday, Thursday and Friday. 2 pm to 6 pm on Tuesday and 8 am to 4 pm on Wednesday. APPLICANT MUST BE ABLE TO WORK UNTIL 6 PM ANY NIGHT OF THE WEEK. Location: 326 E. Main Street, West Frankfort, IL 62896 Position Type: Full Time Schedule: Monday-Friday (Available 7 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday) Compensation: Hourly Rate - $15.90 - $16.00/hour based on experience + Sign On Bonus Available When patients enter our outpatient physical therapy center,we want them to have an exceptional experience – starting at the front desk. Check out the video below for additional insight into the work of our Patient Service Specialists! **Responsibilities** **Responsibilities** + Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out + Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone + Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications + Regular communication with parties such as therapists,insurance companies, attorney offices, translation companies, market operational leaders and business development team **Qualifications** **Qualifications** Minimum Qualifications: + High School Diploma or GED required Preferred Qualifications: + 1 Year of Front Desk Experience + Previous Therapy Experience Physical Requirements: + Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with co-workers and patients + Ability to multi-task phone, computer, and in-person interactions + Ability to use computer scheduling software (with appropriate training) + Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people and understand written direction + Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions + Appropriate manual dexterity to enable typing (including 10-key) and mouse use throughout a work day/shift + Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach consistently throughout a work day/shift + Ability to lift up to 25lbs, safely, from ground to waist using proper body mechanics + Ability to carry office supplies up to 10lbs **Additional Data** _Select Medical is committed to having a workforce that reflects diversity at all levels and is an equal-opportunity employer.
