**Sodexo** is seeking a **Patient Services Manager 2** to join our team at **North Central Bronx Hospital** , a 215-bed acute care facility dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality healthcare. This is a mid-level leadership role—ideal for candidates with prior supervisory, union management experience in healthcare food service operations.
As a **Patient Services Manager 2** , you’ll lead a team of 30+ unionized employees, supporting patient meal service and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. You'll play a hands-on role managing the tray line, overseeing ordering and inventory, ensuring HACCP compliance, conducting staff evaluations and training, and supporting overall service excellence.
This role is designed to help you become a well-rounded leader, with training provided in both opening and closing responsibilities. While the Operations Manager typically covers the evening shift, you’ll be cross-trained to provide support and fill in as needed.
+ Opening shift: As early as 5:30 AM (rotating schedule)
+ Standard shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
+ Rotation: Every other weekend
+ Will be trained to close and fill in as needed to support full operational coverage
**What You'll Do**
+ Oversee patient meal service and trayline operations
+ Supervise and schedule a team of 30+ union employees
+ Ensure compliance with HACCP and Sodexo food safety standards
+ Support ordering, inventory management, and cost controls
+ Conduct performance evaluations and staff training
+ Collaborate with nursing and clinical teams to meet patient dietary needs
+ Be flexible to support various shifts and weekend rotations (every other weekend)

+ Supervisory or team lead experience (required)
+ Healthcare food service experience (preferred)
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
+ Ability to lead and motivate in a unionized environment

**Qualifications & Requirements**
Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
