**Position Overview:**
This is a vital role, serving as the first point of contact and the face of the practice. As a Patient Service Representative, you will set the tone for our patients’ experience, ensuring they feel welcomed, valued, and cared for.
Key Responsibilities:
Warmly greet and check in patients, ensuring a positive first impression.
Verify and update patient information in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
Schedule appointments and assist with intake procedures, including healthcare and insurance forms.
Handle payment collection, including cash-pay transactions, and accurately record and track payments in EHR systems, specialty programs, and spreadsheets.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to build trust and cooperation.
Maintain compliance with all organizational, local, state, and federal regulations, including patient privacy and safety standards.
Additional Duties:
Orient and assist new staff members as needed.
Contribute to a seamless workflow by supporting department-specific tasks.
This role requires exceptional professionalism, attention to detail, and strong communication skills to ensure an outstanding patient experience and operational efficiency.

**EDUCATION:**

HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
**TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:**
1 year of recent relevant experience in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Cosmetic Surgery, or Dermatology.
**SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:**
Basic knowledge of insurance policies and procedures, as well as patient billing.
Ability to interpret various data and instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Possess written and verbal communication skills to communicate with fellow team members, supervisors, patients, and other hospital personnel.
Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including prioritizing assignments and working within standardized policies and procedures to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Work independently and be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.
Identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.

Pay Range is $29.46 to $36.81 / hour
_The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
