Job Summary

Responsible for answering the telephone, greets patients, creating and updating patient and insurance information in the system.    Verifies and analyzes health insurance benefits, accepts co-payment and explains payment policies and billing/collections processes.   Refers messages to the appropriate person and schedules appointments using proper telephone/ customer service etiquette.   Provided Avera Chart information to patients and assists as needed in signing up. 

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. One to two years related experience preferred.

Work Schedule

Varied Shifts:  6:30-3:30; 8:00am-5:00pm, 10:00am-6:00pm;80 hours every 2 weeks Weekends: every 12th weekend, hours are 9:0am-4:00pm Holidays: Closed all major holidays, Urgent Care is only open Memorial Day and Labor Day

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$17.50 - $22.00 per hour
