The **UW MEDICAL CENTER REHAB OPERATING ROOM** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Part-time Days Patient Services Specialist.** **WORK SCHEDULE**

+ Opportunity to provide career growthWe offer comprehensive consultation, evaluation and treatment services for adults with neurological disorders. We treat a variety of neurological conditions, including muscle weakness, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, neuropathy, movement disorders and dizziness.Our clinic is staffed by board-certified and board-eligible neurologists, who offer neurodiagnostic services including EEGs, EMGs, evoked potentials and autonomic nervous system testing. **RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Demonstrates excellent customer service skills
+ Responds to patients’ needs and concerns as appropriate
+ Accepts patient payments (e.g., co-pays, deposits)
+ Coordinates and assists in scheduling ancillary appointments and consults
+ Using clinic guidelines, gathers information on the telephone regarding the nature of the patient concern. Triages calls to appropriate staff; obtains necessary information for the return call; initiates emergency procedure, when necessary, uses appropriate documentation tools
+ Orders, coordinates, and distributes medical records as needed
+ Obtains necessary insurance plan information
+ Maintains ongoing documentation and tracks authorized referrals
+ Reviews the Epic Referral Queue daily for incoming orders and new patient referrals **QUALIFICATIONS**
+ High school graduation or equivalent AND
+ One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience **OR**
