The Sub-Acute Coordinator is part of a team who handles the direct interaction with patients and their families during difficult times, providing financial insurance and payment information to assist them in planning and managing their account balances related to specific services performed in the unit. The Sub-Acute Coordinator educates patients on the various sponsorship programs available to them.  The Sub-Acute Coordinator is the liaison to the PBO/RBO and the sponsoring hospital.

Required Qualifications: 

H.S. Diploma or GED.  California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire.  1 year - Experience in customer service or healthcare registration. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Coursework/Training - Some college level coursework, particularly Medical Terminology or Medical Assistance coursework. National Certification of CHAA upon hire.  Registrar and third party payor experience.  Experience with Sub Acute.
