The Patient Service Supervisor (PSS) is responsible for managing the Patient Services Representatives (PSR) and interpreter staff and managing daily clinic schedules to meet patient demand, access, and scheduling needs. The PSS works with the site lead team to hire/train/support staff, lead daily clinic operations, manage various projects, and support organization wide goals.
KEY REPSONSIBILITIES
People Management
Supervise PSRs and interpreters. Completion of individual learning conversations, recruitment, hiring, orientation, retention, development, and discipline. Ensure that all front office staff (PSRs and interpreters) participate in required training in order to provide the best and most efficient customer service to Neighborcare patients. Resolve issues identified by the team and escalate to the site lead team as needed. Provide supervision training of floats, students and volunteers assigned at Neighborcare Health Foster a trusting environment where challenges can be addressed without fear of blame, and problems or road-blocks to the work are met with curiosity and in the spirit of improvement.Administrative Work
Participate in organizational planning and work with site lead team to plan for long term patient and staff needs, resources and process improvements.Operations Management
Ensure compliance with cash handling procedures and complete daily batches. Establish, maintain, and monitor effective procedures for clinic operations. Ensure proper opening and closing of medical and dental clinic. Ensure appropriate daily staffing and coordinate changes in staff schedules. Create a weekly staffing schedule based on clinic needs. Manage daily patient schedule to ensure proper access and scheduling requirements are met. Assist and coordinate in the resolution of patient and staff issues to drive to a positive outcome. Build, run, and review relevant reports on clinic as needed. Facilitate trainings for staff.Required for this job:
Ability to meet and comply with HIPAA/Confidentiality policies and procedures and to handle confidential and sensitive patient and staff information. Proficient with computers and the use of word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and email. Attention to detail. Ability to organize, guide and motivate team. Ability to work in a high pressure, time-sensitive, and complex health care environment. Ability to facilitate and present in meetings. Ability to work with individuals of varying ethnicities, socio-economic levels, cultures and sexual orientations. Ability to build relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries. Demonstrates the ability to conduct discussions of a sensitive nature with staff and patients. Ability to develop collaborative working relationships that foster a positive working environment with an emphasis on teamwork. Problem solving skills. Flexibility and adaptability to change. Ability to communicate in person, email, and on the phone effectively. Preferred for this job: Familiarity with medical and dental terminology. Experience with scheduling software or comparable tool. Electronic Health Record Experience. Bilingual preferred.EDUCATION
Required: AA Degree or equivalent; or high school diploma or GED plus 2 years’ experience in a professional setting
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree/Medical Admin Assistant Diploma
Preferred: Relevant health care/leading certifications

Compensation
The wage range for this position is minimum $60,036.00 to $80,600.00 maximum.
Compensation will be determined based on years of relevant experience.
