Patient Transportation Coordinator

The Patient Transportation Coordinator coordinates the movement of patients discharging or transferring from the hospital.  The Patient Transportation Coordinator has the primary responsibility of reviewing and coordinating non-emergent medical transportation requests for patients leaving the hospital as well as transferring to another hospital. Chart review and/or calls to clarify transportation needs will be performed to assure appropriate modes and timing of transport.

Required qualifications:

Associate's Degree Or 2 years in acute care resource coordinator position or equivalent 2 years of Hospital Healthcare/Non-Emergent Medical Transport experience

Preferred qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare field. Resource Coordinator NEMT dispatching/scheduling experience
