Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. Responsible for transporting patients to and from various locations by bed, stretcher, or wheelchair. Must be able to assist the technologist with moving patients to and from exam table, as well as assisting the technologist with lifting the patient on the bed or stretcher for exams performed not requiring the patient to be moved to the exam table. Must maintain the cleanliness and availability of the transport equipment. Must be able to utilize and/or operate oxygen tanks that may need to accompany the patient. Perform all other duties as assigned. Maintain patient comfort, safety, and privacy while transporting. Notifies appropriate licensed personnel of patient arrival and/or return from various locations. Must be able to communicate in an effective and efficient manner with all coworkers, patients, visitors, and physicians. Maintain daily transport log/spreadsheet.
