Kimley-Horn is looking for a Payables Specialist to join our Phoenix, Arizona (AZ)office! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities Process vendor and sub-consultant invoices, releases, and payment requestsReview for accuracy, appropriate approvals, valid sales and use tax, and correct general ledger codingProvide support to regional accounting in A/P processesRotate within A/P group to process check runsAnalyze open A/P items and resolve discrepanciesReview and approve expense reports to ensure compliance with company policiesFollow up with employees regarding items such as unallowable expenses, missing receipts, or clarification on expensesEducate employees on expenses and process of correctly submitting reportsProvide response to vendor or employee inquiries and requestsProvide back-up for other team members in their responsibilities as necessaryProvide high quality internal/external client service Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (Two-year accounting degree and/or applicable experience preferred)Experience with analyzing processes or problems and suggest improvements or resolutionsCan prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments concurrentlyWorks individually and within a team environmentCan manage time and stress levels efficiently and professionallyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detailShows initiativeExperience with Deltek Costpoint Accouting Software or similar is a plus Why Kimley-Horn?At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
