The Global Sanctions Escalations position involve the complete process around regulatory lead sanction list or internally developed watch list searches of transactions and account holders looking for designated high risk clients and sanctioned transactions. This includes the process to determine if there is a true match to a suspect name, review, analysis and make decision on wire transactions and specific issues escalated to/from internal business units. Validate positive search results and providing detailed research information to support the resolution of a match. Providing written and verbal communication on issues with management, the lines of business and Compliance units, performing and reviewing highly sensitive client and transaction search information, reporting, escalating and documenting results.
As a Payment Lifecycle Associate I within the Sanctions Escalations unit you will work closely with our Global Sanctions Compliance Manager, playing a key part in our efforts to protect the organization and meet the Bank’s regulatory requirements. You should possess leadership, analytical ability, a solution-oriented consultative mindset, a thorough knowledge of banking, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and Sanctions processes. You'll be part of a dynamic, high-volume team that thrives on meeting deadlines and working collaboratively across diverse environments. Flexibility with your schedule is important, as there may be times when we need to adjust hours to get the job done. Plus, you'll have the chance to take on additional duties and special projects that come your way.

5+ years of banking experience and at least 5 years of Compliance or legal Managerial experience is required to train, teach, coach and mentor senior team members and entry level analysts Sanctions, anti-money laundering (AML), OFAC and Compliance Advisory experience is required Sanctions Subject Matter Expert with specific transactions screening against sanction list to determine false positive vs true match Knowledge of Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications (SWIFT) messaging. Demonstrate cross-line of business knowledge of banking systems and products Self-reliance and willingness to "own" problems and creatively find solutions. Must be results oriented and have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent project management and presentation skills Flexibility to work varying daytime hours to accommodate transactional product and regional deadlines Strong written/verbal communication, leadership, solid high volume processing and analytical skills with the ability to work independently on multiple assignments in a deadline driven, regulatory environment Ability to maintain high quality in a risk intensive environment Possess strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Access, Outlook and PowerPointPreferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
Audit experience is highly desirable Knowledge of payment transactions is preferred Customer contact and service operations area experience a plus.
