*Hybrid Position* We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic individual to join our team. Progressive high-volume practice with industry-leading compensation. Duties and Responsibilities: • Post a high volume of payments and adjustments accurately from payor remittances to patient accounts • Post patient payments received via check, lock box, or credit card • Review ledger to make sure that the open charges are assigned appropriately to the next responsible party or assign claim to proper biller to generate appeal • Balance payment batches • Review and process refunds • Maintain awareness of contracted reimbursement rates, follow up on discrepancies and notify manager when there are trends identified or unresolved issues • Work credit balances on a timely basis to ensure over payments are addressed • Review accuracy of patient accounts prior to generating statements • Answer phone calls to assist patients with billing questions • Submit provider inquiries to payers for claim adjustments • Complete projects as assigned by management team • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information **This is a full-time position with an excellent BENEFIT package. Typical schedule is M – F (8:00 to 4:30)** Job Qualifications + Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED with 1- 2 years of related experience in a billing position. A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and a strong mathematical aptitude are also desired. + Medent EMR experience is a plus. Physical Demands: + Manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to enter data and operate office equipment + Corrected vision and hearing within normal range to observe and communicate with patients, providers, and staff + Frequently remaining in a stationary position, often sitting for prolonged periods working on a computer, telephone, copy/fax machine, and other office equipment + Occasional standing and walking required
