Payments Partnership Manager

The Payments Partnerships team executes partnerships with key players in the financial ecosystem to deliver growth and support Plaid’s product roadmap. To accomplish this, we lead cross-functional efforts, negotiating partnership agreements, and using market insights to unlock new opportunities.
This role involves leading cross-functional efforts, negotiating agreements with partners who will unlock utility for Plaid customers through our product.ResponsibilitiesEstablish product partnerships with banks and other financial services and companies to provide critical capabilities to Plaid’s payments products and roadmapManage relationships and operations with key partners ongoing–including business process design and troubleshooting–and be directly responsible as the bridge between partners and Plaid’s product, engineering, and support functionsLead cross-functional collaboration with legal, finance, product, and compliance teams to execute partnership initiatives that align with Plaid objectivesProvide data-driven insights and progress updates to executive leadership, highlighting key milestones, risks, and opportunitiesStay informed of trends in payments and industry partnerships, leveraging insights to refine strategies and competitive positioningQualifications 5+ years of experience in partnerships, investment banking, management consulting, or strategic salesDemonstrated experience in payments partnerships, including complexities with compliance and legal, and accelerating deal cycles with larger financial institutionsStrong relationship management (internal and external to company), communication, and organizational skillsKnowledge of the fintech landscape, including recent trends in banking-as-a-service, payments, risk management, and partnership structures$157,200 - $236,400 a yearTarget base salary for this role is between $157,200 and $236,400 per year. Additional compensation in the form(s) of equity and/or commission are dependent on the position offered. Plaid provides a comprehensive benefit plan, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Pay is based on factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and skillset, and location.
