Payroll Accounting Manager

The opportunity

Delaware North is hiring a Payroll Accounting Manager to join our team in Buffalo, New York. As a Payroll Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the governance, proactive development, and enhancement of end-to-end payroll accounting processes across the Delaware North enterprise. Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $95,900 – $129,400 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do? Oversee and manage payroll accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely completion of month-end and year-end responsibilities while maintaining compliance with GAAP and financial regulations  Develop, document, and improve payroll accounting processes, internal controls, and policies to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance  Maintain accurate financial records, support year-end audits, and collaborate with external auditors to ensure proper reporting and compliance  Lead, train, and develop the payroll accounting team by managing performance, setting goals, and fostering a strong team environment  Provide payroll-related financial insights, assist other departments in assessing payroll impacts, and support ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed 

More about you Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent field is required; CPA or MBA preferred  CPP or FPC certification or desire to obtain   Minimum of 4 years of general accounting experience or a combination of payroll and accounting experience in a large-scale global organization  Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management level role with knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques  Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting policies and procedures   Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with PeopleSoft Financials, Workday, and Blackline preferred
