OFM staff perform central accounting and payroll control activities, developing and issuing statewide accounting, tax, and payroll policies, and monitoring compliance by agencies with state accounting and tax policies and regulations. Learn more atwww.Michigan.gov/budget. This position functions as the manager of the Payroll Accounting and Reconciliations (PAR) Section within the Payroll and Tax Reporting Division. Principal functions of the section include responsibility for oversight of payroll accounting and labor distribution activities, oversight of payroll clearing fund reconciliations, oversight and support for SIGMA HRM/PAM configuration/operations, oversight of tax calculation update testing, and oversight of the central finance and tax configuration for employee expense reimbursements. The PAR Manager is one of the key leadership positions in the Payroll and Tax Reporting Division (PTRD) and has regular direct contact with the PTRD director. The PAR Manager also has frequent interaction with the Office of Financial Management (OFM) director, the SIGMA TELL center of excellence and SIGMA Help Desk, and financial, HR and administrative officers of other departments and agencies. _____________________________________________________________________________ Online application must contain detailed work experience.
