Payroll Administrator
**Overview** The Payroll Administrator is responsible for processing the company's payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality in all transactions. This role involves calculating wages, managing deductions, and preparing payroll reports. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and experience with payroll software. **Pay: $17.00/hr** The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. **401(k)** – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. Accurately process payroll for all employees. 3. Calculate wages, overtime, deductions, and bonuses as applicable. 4. Ensure all payroll transactions comply with federal, state, and local laws. 5. **Record Keeping and Reporting:** 6. Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files, including exemptions, leaves, and non-taxable wages. 7. Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and regulatory bodies as required. 8. **Employee Queries:** 9. Serve as the point of contact for all payroll-related inquiries from employees. 10. Resolve any issues related to payroll processing promptly and accurately. 11. **Tax Management:** 12. Calculate and deposit payroll taxes in compliance with governing rules and regulations. 13. Prepare and submit tax reports and other necessary documentation to federal, state, and local tax agencies. 14. **Benefits Administration:** 15. Coordinate with the HR department to administer employee benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-provided benefits. 16. Ensure accurate deductions and record-keeping for all benefits. 17. **Audit and Compliance:** 18. Assist in payroll audits and ensure that policies and procedures comply with regulatory standards. 19. Update payroll records by tracking changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job titles, and department/ division transfers. 20. **System Management:** 21. Utilize payroll management software to process payroll efficiently. 22. Recommend upgrades to payroll software, systems, and procedures. **Qualifications:** + **Education:** High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, human resources, or related field preferred. + **Experience:** 1-3 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar role. + **Skills:** + Proficient with payroll software (e.g., ADP, QuickBooks, Paychex). + Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. + Good understanding of the entire payroll process and applicable laws. + Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle confidential information. + Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
