Payroll Administrator
Description We are searching for a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team in Bergen County New Jersey. As a Payroll Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing all payroll functions, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and offering excellent support to our employees and management team. This role is a vital part of our organization and contributes significantly to our operations in the industry. Responsibilities: • Administer all payroll functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing • Collaborate closely with the Sales and Internal Management teams • Handle year-end adjustments, including W-2 submissions and filings • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries • Maintain and update the Time and Attendance system • Work with HR to track and report on employee time off balances • Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing tasks • Support the Concur Travel & Expense program as needed • Lead special payroll-related projects and assist with audit functions • Maintain payroll and personnel documentation in accordance with confidentiality and privacy regulations • Compute and process commission and bonus payouts for the Sales Force • Process payroll journal entries, accruals, and reconcile payroll G/L accounts • Calculate final paychecks, ensuring compliance with state regulations • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company payroll legislation. Requirements • Minimum of three years of experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role. • Proficiency in payroll software such as Ceridian and UltiPro. • Solid experience with multi-state payroll processing. • Working knowledge of compensation and commissions. • Familiarity with multiprocessing in payroll systems. • Ability to handle payroll for multiple states. • Strong numerical and analytical skills. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • High level of accuracy and attention to detail. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information. • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred. • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.
