Payroll Administrator
Responsibilities The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of payroll tasks to establish and maintain accurate employee and payroll records, execute payroll-processing production, and ultimately produce accurate and timely payroll payments to employees for Related Companies. Responsibilities include: Process payroll on UltiPro software and ensure on-time payment to employees and statutory agencies Process payroll changes and other special transactions including new hires, terminations, transfers, rate changes, address changes, work location changes, and garnishments Manage payroll processing for up to 1,000 employees on a weekly and bi-weekly basis Handle complex and/or sensitive payroll requests and issues related to processing Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports Process special payrolls including bonuses and year-end adjustments Work with HR and Benefits to help resolve employee pay inquires Resolve payroll issues with employees such as vacation, sick leave, banking, garnishments, payroll deductions, retroactive pay calculations, tax questions, etc. Assist with capturing and responding to escalated issues, policies, and procedures from government agencies, payroll functions, and the operating companies Compensation $33.65 - $38.46 / hour Annual performance based bonus Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, HR or related field Minimum of 2+ years of experience supporting time and payroll systems in a large corporate environment Solid knowledge of U.S. wage & hour laws, garnishments, and payroll tax withholding rules at the federal, state and local levels Experience with large multi-company (FEINs - legal entities), multi-jurisdiction payroll and tax is preferred Experience using a high level of discretion, dealing with highly confidential data and information Must have a high level of professionalism and maturity Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage multiple business requests concurrently Proficient at Microsoft Office, especially Excel Knowledge of UltiPro and IBM Cognos Business Intelligence preferred American Payroll Association (CPP) or FPC certification is a plus Related values diversity in backgrounds and experiences.
