We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Administrator to join our HR team and play a key role in supporting Zonda’s mission. This position will report directly to the Sr. Global HR Manager - Payroll, Compensation, and HRIS and will focus on ensuring accurate and compliant payroll operations. The Payroll Administrator will collaborate with employees, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional payroll and HR services in alignment with our innovative and fast-paced work environment.

Key Responsibilities 

Administer and maintain employee pay data and records in the payroll system of record, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.Assist with the timely and accurate processing of multi-state payroll for over 500 employees, including manual checks as needed.Support payroll-related functions for Canada across all provinces.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, as well as internal policies.Assist with the implementation of HR systems, including researching vendors, building business cases, and supporting implementation efforts.Serve as a system administrator for the HRIS system, including troubleshooting and resolving integration errors.Coordinate with the finance team to prepare payroll reports and ensure proper recording and coding of all payroll-related expenses (salary, benefits, bonuses, commissions, etc.).Perform regular payroll audits to validate HSA, FSA, DCFSA, 401(k) elections, reimbursement programs, and other benefit contributions.Oversee and process Qualified Medical Child Support Orders (QMCSO) in compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines.Support the annual ACA 1095-C process and 401(k) audits.Prepare and deliver HR and payroll reports for quarterly metrics and business reviews.Partner with the Sr. Global HR Manager to develop, document, and implement payroll policies, processes, and controls.Research and resolve payroll tax issues, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.Assist with special projects and initiatives, as assigned, to drive continuous improvement in payroll operations.

What You Bring 

Experience & Knowledge:Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulatory requirements.Experience with multi-state payroll processing; experience with Canadian payroll (all provinces) is highly preferred.Proficiency with HRIS platforms, preferably ADP.Skills & Capabilities:Proven ability to identify problems, propose solutions, and see projects through to resolution.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing sensitive data.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams and levels.Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment and managing confidential matters with professionalism.Preferred Qualifications:Experience troubleshooting and resolving integration file errors in payroll systems.Familiarity with payroll audits and reporting.
