Payroll Administrator
Description We are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join a dynamic and mission-driven team. This role focuses on the preparation and disbursement of payroll in a multi-state environment and supports various financial accounting tasks, including month-end and year-end close processes. Key Responsibilities Payroll Functions: + Review, approve, and post employee timesheets; resolve discrepancies directly with employees and managers. + Coordinate with HR to compile payroll data, including employee changes, new hires, and payroll deductions. + Execute multiple payroll runs monthly with accuracy and timeliness. + Ensure compliance with payroll tax submissions, benefit funding, and regulatory requirements. + Administer payroll system needs, such as setting up new tax jurisdictions and deduction codes. + Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts on a regular basis. + Prepare compensation analysis and reporting as needed. + Stay informed about industry trends to improve payroll processes. Accounting Functions: + Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close tasks and reporting. + Contribute to financial performance analysis. Risk Management: + Support insurance, benefit, and tax applications, as well as audits. + Help create and maintain process documentation and training materials for payroll and accounting duties. Requirements Qualifications + Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, preferably in a multi-state environment. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate-level skills required; testing will be conducted). + Experience with Paylocity is a plus; familiarity with Vantagepoint is beneficial but not required. + A proactive, detail-oriented individual who can adapt to current processes and contribute to future improvements. + Strong foundation in payroll with the ability to assist in accounting tasks such as month-end close and general ledger work.
