Reporting to: Senior Payroll & Benefits Specialist -International

Position Type: Permanent, 35 hours per week

Hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home

Job Purpose:

Assist the Payroll and Benefits Team with the outsourced processing of the monthly Payroll for HCC Service Company Inc. and International employees based in the UK, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands and Sweden.

Key Responsibilities:

Liaise with external payroll provider to process all country payrolls (approx. 1,200 employees) using BDO Systems, Ippex and Workday.

Work with external payroll provider to ensure that deadlines are met for employees to be paid accurately and on time in accordance with local and contractual legislation.

Reconciliation of all payroll costs, in the relevant local currency, enabling the local contacts to approve their payrolls each month.

Ensure that payroll processes are updated in a timely manner ensuring that they comply with Internal Audit compliance standards and JSOX/ISO requirements.

Act as a subject matter expert for all employee queries relating to Payroll.

Liaise with Finance to complete monthly payroll reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate payment of statutory and voluntary payroll deductions to HMRC and other 3rd parties.

Assist with collecting payroll and benefit data to produce annual returns such as P11ds for the UK.

Liaise with external payroll provider to ensure year-end processes for all countries are completed.

Other reasonable duties and projects as required.

Performance Objectives: 

Able to demonstrate that you have taken ownership of the day-to-day payroll processing for assigned payroll with minimal supervisionProven accuracy and the ability to prioritise workload so tasks are completed within set time frames. Build relationships with international stakeholders, prioritising good customer service, and be recognised as the first point of contact to a wide range of employees across countries.Take ownership of a team project

Skills and Experience Specification:

Essential:

A minimum of 3 years end to end UK payroll experienceA minimum of 2 years’ experience in payroll for at least two of the following countries: Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg and The NetherlandsExceptional attention to detail and high standard of accuracyGood organisation and prioritisation skillsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to resolve issues demonstrating a good analysis of the options and sound judgment when making decisionsShows initiative and proactivity by seeking and suggesting improvements to processesGood Team Working as well as the ability to work autonomously

Desirable:

CIPP qualified or equivalentVendor ManagementAbility to speak a second European language
