The Opportunity
Venturis is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to join our team in Coquitlam, BC. As the Payroll Analyst, you will perform payroll-related activities for multiple business units and review payroll data and documentation for accuracy and efficiency.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As the Payroll Analyst, your key responsibilities will include:
Import and adjust GL files for assigned business entities; review GL mappings Perform monthly payroll reconciliation for multiple accounts and entities Prepare and submit paperwork for tax deductions, benefits, and garnishments Allocate and analyze bonus and profit share payments Process benefit costs, including insurance fees and sick leaves Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay and tax Respond to any audit-related and documentation requests Handle biweekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual remittance reports Conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records, and look for ways to streamline procedures and processes Assist with system configuration and troubleshoot any system issuesRequired Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field such as business administration, accounting or finance Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification Five years of related experience processing Canadian payroll Hands-on experience with payroll software such as UKG or ADP Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability Strong ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environmentBenefits & Perks
