**Summary**
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to maintain payroll accounts, manage reporting, conduct audits, and support payroll operations. The Payroll Analyst will work closely with accounting teams to process payroll data, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and provide guidance on complex payroll transactions. This role is instrumental in ensuring payroll accuracy, analyzing data for process improvement, and advising on compliance and policy.
This position will support our Payroll team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week. This position is based out of our North Dallas office in Dallas, TX.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
+ **Data Analysis** : Analyze payroll data to identify trends, track performance metrics, and recommend areas for improvement.
+ **Report Preparation** : Create detailed accounting schedules, summaries, and reports, including garnishment and compliance reports.
+ **Compliance Advisory** : Research and interpret state and federal laws, advising payroll staff on regulatory compliance and the appropriate accounting treatment of complex payroll transactions.
+ **Audits and Reconciliation** : Conduct internal payroll audits, prepare for external audits, and perform routine account reconciliations to maintain payroll accuracy and compliance.
+ **Database Management** : Design, implement, and maintain payroll databases to support efficient data management and reporting needs.
+ **Staff Training** : Provide training and guidance to payroll staff on payroll processes, reporting standards, and compliance matters.
+ **Cross-Department Coordination** : Work with HR, finance, and accounting teams to streamline payroll operations and resolve cross-functional payroll issues.
+ **Special Projects** : Contribute to or lead special projects, using analytics and reporting to measure success and drive continuous improvement.
**Education & Experience**
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four year college or university with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience is required.
+ 3+ years of experience in payroll or payroll analysis.
+ Proficiency in payroll software and data analytics tools.
+ Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor compliance.
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
+ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments.
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality and work accurately under deadlines.
