Description We are offering a contract for a Payroll Analyst position in BALTIMORE, Maryland, 21210-2601, United States. As a Payroll Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the management and execution of payroll processes for our staff and student employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance at all stages. Your work will directly contribute to the smooth functioning of our financial operations. Responsibilities: • Execute all stages of payroll processing for staff and student employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Manage the balancing and control of earnings and deduction totals, rectifying any discrepancies promptly. • Prepare and inspect automated system output such as registers and standard reports. • Calculate and prepare general ledger entries, ensuring alignment with payroll data. • Ensure compliance in the preparation and filing of payroll tax reports. • Compile payroll data for inclusion in financial statements and prepare special reports for management. • Process garnishments and levies as per relevant regulations. • Provide backup support to the Payroll Manager as and when required. • Utilize payroll software such as 'Workday' to ensure accurate and efficient payroll processing. • Coordinate closely with the accounting and benefits functions to ensure seamless integration of payroll data. Requirements • Proficient in using payroll software for time tracking and management • Solid understanding and ability to perform accounting functions • Familiarity with benefit functions and administration • Experience in handling full cycle payroll processing • Knowledge and experience in payroll tax reporting.
