Description We are partnering with a New Brighton, MN based client in need of highly qualified Payroll Analyst to join their team in a contract capacity. The Payroll Analyst will be accountable for preparing and processing a multi-state payroll for over 500 employees, interacting with and responding to payroll-related inquiries from employees, and interacting directly with the accounting team to ensure correct entries are run each biweekly period. This role is contract to start, but has the potential to evolve into a contract-to-hire position for the right person. Responsibilities: • Handle the prompt and accurate input of payroll requests into the company's UKG system. • Address and resolve employee queries regarding payroll by gathering and scrutinizing relevant information. • Carry out thorough reviews of timecards and payroll to identify and rectify discrepancies. • Prepare month-end reports, including FTE calculation, allocation reports, and dashboards. • Reconcile payroll liabilities with the general ledger. • Generate and post bi-weekly journal entries into accounting software. • Stay abreast of federal, state, and local legal requirements regarding payroll and payroll taxes. • Facilitate garnishment reporting, 401K reporting, and benefit reporting. • Ensure the confidentiality of payroll operations to maintain employee confidence.
