Payroll Analyst
Job Title: Payroll AnalystJob Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst with strong familiarity with payroll processes and UKG module functionalities. The Payroll Analyst will prepare and process weekly and bi-weekly timecards accurately and on time, prepare regular payroll journal entries for vacation and temporary worker accruals, and maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. The role involves assisting in budget preparation and financial forecasting, monitoring the payroll mailbox, preparing scheduled and ad hoc payroll reporting, and assisting with special projects and department compliance audits as needed. The ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and partner with the business to raise awareness of payroll best practices to meet deadlines is essential. Responsibilities + Prepare and process weekly and bi-weekly timecards accurately and on time. + Prepare regular payroll journal entries for vacation and temporary worker accruals. + Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. + Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting. + Monitor the payroll mailbox and assist with any requests. + Prepare scheduled and ad hoc payroll reporting. + Assist with special projects and department compliance audits as needed. + Manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion. + Partner with the business to raise awareness of payroll best practices to meet deadlines. Essential Skills + 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing. + Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups. + Experience with UKG software (open to UltiPro or Kronos). + Experience with bi-weekly payroll processing. + Knowledge of CA payroll regulations. Additional Skills & Qualifications + UKG Dimensions experience in Kronos. + Experience with vlookup, hlookup, and pivot tables. + Manufacturing industry experience is highly preferred. + Experience from a large and/or public company is highly preferred. Work Environment This role is fully in office, with work hours from Monday to Friday, either 8 AM to 5 PM or 9 AM to 6 PM. The team consists of the hiring manager, an accounting senior , and one offsite payroll person who is currently assisting with extra work. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
