Payroll Analyst
Description We are on the lookout for a meticulous Payroll Analyst to join our team in LOUISVILLE, Kentucky. The focus of your role will be to manage and process employee timecards, maintain accurate records, and conduct regular reporting to various agencies. Your expertise in Sage 300, Microsoft Excel, and Ad Hoc Reporting will be crucial in your day-to-day responsibilities. Responsibilities: • Ensure the accurate and timely submission of employee timecards and compensation changes. • Import, export, and manipulate data using advanced functions in Microsoft Excel. • Conduct regular reporting and analysis of work hours, wages, union dues and fringes, and tax withholdings. • Carry out weekly reviews and reconciliation tasks. • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure their proper maintenance. • Collaborate with the Finance & Technology team to identify and implement system improvements. • Assist in year-end processes including 401K compliance testing, workman’s comp audit, 1099 & W2 reporting. • Work in close coordination with cross-functional partners in Accounting, Recruiting, People, and Operations to improve processes. • Support the Accounting team during the monthly and quarterly financial close process. Requirements • Position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Payroll Analyst. • Candidate must possess proficiency in Sage 300 software for payroll processing and management. • Applicant should have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel to handle complex data analysis and report generation. • Experience in managing payroll for a workforce size between 101 to 500 employees is essential. • The role demands experience in handling payroll for unionized employees, understanding the nuances and specific requirements. • Candidate must be skilled in Ad Hoc Reporting, capable of creating custom reports as per organizational needs.
