Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Analyst to join our team in NEW CASTLE, Delaware. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of payroll transactions and maintaining compliance with payroll laws and best practices. This position is integral to our finance and human resources functions and requires a strong customer service focus.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
• Ensure timely updates to payroll, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
• Develop and provide payroll reports and analytics for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in quarterly and annual balancing to ensure accurate tax returns.
• Contribute to 401(k) funding, review, and audit processes.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
• Address and resolve outstanding tax agency inquiries in collaboration with our payroll vendor.
• Facilitate audits by providing necessary records and documentation to auditors.
• Recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
• Assist in creating and maintaining documentation of current Payroll SOPs and internal checklists.
• Perform other finance and human resources duties as assigned. Requirements
The ideal Payroll Analyst will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration.
Other requirements for the Payroll Analyst role include and are not limited to:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Payroll Analyst or in a similar role
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Certification in Payroll is an advantage
• Experience with Full Cycle Payroll
• Proficiency in Multi-Entity payroll
