Kforce has a client that is seeking a Payroll Analyst/Accountant in Malvern, PA. Summary: This role ensures the completion of all payroll-related accounting activities. The Payroll Analyst/Accountant serves as the initial point of contact for payroll accounting matters and is responsible for weekly payroll postings to the general ledger, preparing account reconciliations, and leading payroll-related projects. The position also focuses on driving efficiencies through automation and streamlining payroll accounting processes. Key Responsibilities: * Payroll Analyst/Accountant will facilitate day-to-day payroll accounting operations and improve related accounting procedures and internal controls * Provide training and guidance to the accounting team * Serve as the main point of contact for payroll accounting, ensuring high levels of customer service and continuous improvement in service delivery * Drive monthly close activities, including preparing and approving journal entries, reconciliations, reports, and intercompany invoices * Ensure timely delivery of closing results related to payroll accounting * As a Payroll Analyst/Accountant, you will monitor and analyze general ledger activity, prepare account reconciliations, and resolve reconciling items promptly * Ensure compliance with internal control frameworks and accounting guidelines * Respond to financial and tax audit requests and support reconciliation of payroll systems to the general ledger * Research and resolve payroll accounting issues and support exceptions to accounting or process rules
