We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Payroll Analyst to join our team. The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of employee payroll data by executing established controls and auditing time data from various sources. This role involves working with multiple systems, including Oracle Time and Labor (OTL), ADP, and Excel spreadsheets, to ensure smooth and compliant payroll processing. The Payroll Analyst will also be a key resource in supporting the testing and implementation of new payroll extensions and system upgrades. The pay scale for this position is $27-$29 an hour, based on qualifications and experience.
Your Role:
Data Integrity & Accuracy: Execute established controls to ensure the integrity and accuracy of employee payroll data Audit and load time data from Oracle Time and Labor (OTL) and other sources such as Excel spreadsheets Reconcile OTL transactions to identify and resolve inconsistencies Payroll Data Flow: Understand the flow of payroll data from HR, OTL, through to ADP payrolls Ensure proper data transmission between various systems (HR, OTL, ADP) to maintain accurate payroll processing Policy & Regulation Compliance: Exercise good judgment in applying and interpreting company policies, union contracts, and legal regulations as they pertain to payroll Stay current on relevant payroll legislation and best practices to ensure compliance HR & Employee Support: Respond to inquiries from HR staff and employees regarding payroll and timekeeping matters Provide timely, clear, and professional communication to resolve payroll-related issues Data Analysis & Testing: Perform data analysis, documenting and testing new payroll system extensions and functionalities Test Oracle OTL-related patches and upgrades to ensure they are implemented smoothly and correctly Project Support: Participate in multiple payroll-related projects as needed, including system upgrades, process improvements, and compliance initiativesQualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience) Experience: 3+ years of experience in payroll processing, auditing, or related fields Experience with Oracle Time and Labor (OTL) or similar timekeeping systems is highly preferred Experience with ADP payroll systems is a plus Familiarity with labor laws, union contracts, and payroll compliance regulations Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in payroll data Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, etc.) Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Other Requirements: Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive payroll data Ability to exercise good judgment and decision-making in a dynamic work environment
