Payroll Analyst II

Basic Job Functions:

Performs Payroll processing and analysis and review of payroll data.  Serves as specialist on new tax/payroll requirements and works with ADP to ensure that needs are properly addressed.  Administers payroll for expatriates and short/long term project assignees.

Education/Experience:

3 + years’ experience in Payroll or Accounting. Strong knowledge of state and federal Payroll related regulations. Working knowledge of ADP payroll and Kronos timekeeping systems. 2 - year college degree required in accounting or related fields; 4-year degree preferred.

Essential Responsibilities:

Perform payroll processing in a timely manner while ensuring accurate results.  Analyze and review payroll files prior to submission. Identify, research, and assist in the resolution of Payroll related discrepancies. Prepare and/or reconcile periodic tax and compliance filings. Serve as payroll liaison with HR and the relocation company to properly process payroll for short and long-term assignees. Maintain working knowledge of international and domestic tax regulations to properly process payroll for expatriates.  Prepare journal entries for weekly payroll processing and monthly accruals. Prepare account reconciliations for all payroll balance sheet accounts in adherence with accounting deadlines. Research general ledger account discrepancies and work with accounting team to resolve any issues. Work with state agencies and Corporate Tax to establish tax accounts for withholding and SUI in new jurisdictions. Work with ADP to define requirements and test changes to configuration. Prepare state submissions to obtain tax credits and perform other reporting as needed. Provide required ADP reporting to internal departments such as Tax and Stock Administration. Responsible for performing primarily US payroll with additional responsibilities for payroll for Canada and Mexico. Open tickets with ADP through CRM portal and manage ticket completion. Perform Kronos administration, a good understanding of the inner workings of the system. Configure new pay rules and troubleshoot at system level as needed. Comprehend the automated interfaces to payroll, such as the interface to Fidelity, Aetna, Benefits Administration, etc. Understanding and execution of global payroll as needed. Employee Liaison, manage payroll support in box.  Streamline payroll process and execute changes effectively. Perform ad-hoc payroll as needed. Liaison with Finance on wire transfers and payments. SOX Compliance. Perform assigned controls in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned. Job description subject to change at any time.

Reporting Relationships:

Reports to Lead, Payroll USA. This position will not have direct reports.

Travel:

No travel is required.

Estimated Salary Range:

$61,000-$87,000.
