About the role:

In the Senior Payroll Analyst position, you will perform Italian and Netherlands payroll analysis and research. You will work on complex, interesting projects, coach, and mentor junior payroll staff, and work under minimal supervision.

What you’ll be doing:

• perform a variety of accounting functions in the preparation, distribution, and reporting of payroll ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations
• balance monthly payroll ledger, research exception items, and take corrective action
• reconcile all tax and unemployment liability accounts to the general ledger and investigate variances
• prepare monthly/quarterly payroll tax reporting and research and resolve payroll/tax reporting issues
• assist with the preparation of quarterly payroll tax reporting and research and resolve payroll/tax reporting issues
• work closely with technical departments to implement process improvements, test system changes and lead special projects within the payroll department
• serve as liaison to employees and payroll associates to ensure payroll processing accurately reflects company-specific pay policies
• audit employee pay records and reconcile totals by department, location, country, etc.
• interpret pay policies, e.g., vacation, LOA, disability, workers' compensation, government regulations, withholding exemptions, etc., and ensure appropriate amounts/deductions are calculated and applied to various accounts correctly
• document payroll processes and procedures; may train payroll department staff
• produce various scheduled/ad hoc analyses and reports as needed
• other related duties assigned as needed

 

What you need:

Must have:

at least 5+ years of experience in payroll principles, practices, processes, and proceduresthorough knowledge/ experience of Italian Payrollknowledgeable in the use and administration of payroll systems e.g., Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, ADPfluent in Englishexcellent verbal and written communication skillsexcellent analytical, organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, team-building and time-management skillsability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments concurrentlyability to work under pressure of deadlines

Preferred:

Italian languageexperience of Netherlands and or Spanish payrollADP Streamline
