Payroll and Benefits Specialist

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll and Benefits Specialist to ensure employees are compensated accurately and have access to comprehensive benefits. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end payroll process and oversee employee benefits programs, fostering a seamless and positive experience for our team. This position requires a solution-focused mindset, strong compliance expertise, and collaboration with multiple departments to maintain transparent and efficient payroll and benefits operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesProcess bi-weekly payroll Update and maintain employee payroll records, including deductions, garnishments, and tax withholdings.Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.Manage and reconcile employee expenses, engagement spend programs, and wellness stipends.Address employee inquiries about payroll and benefits, providing clear and accurate information.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and benefits regulations.Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and related reports.Conduct regular audits to verify payroll and benefits data accuracy and compliance.Partner with HR and finance teams to streamline payroll workflows and improve reporting processes.Support the annual benefits open enrollment process, communicating updates to employees.Stay informed about industry trends and legislative changes impacting payroll and benefits.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).3-5 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.Proficiency in payroll software
