IFG is actively recruiting for a Payroll Associate responsible for managing all payroll related activities. The responsibilities will include system administration, payroll transmission, time and attendance tracking/ reporting, tax filings, garnishment administration, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities of the Payroll Associate
Prepare, audit, and process bi-weekly payrolls by established deadlines. Assure the accuracy and integrity of all payroll data and documentation according to established departmental and organizational policies, wage and hour rules and regulations, and contractual terms. Manage and administer the electronic timekeeping system. Make sure valid data transfers occur between time and attendance and payroll modules. Review and approve all payroll-related changes for compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Calculate special pays such as bonuses, retroactive payments, severance, and benefit time payouts. Reconcile and post deduction/benefit files such as retirement, deferred compensation, union dues, and employee health contribution for general ledger accounts. Resolve payroll and timekeeping discrepancies and errors by investigating, collecting, and analyzing information. Prepare, generate and submit quarterly, annual, and/or ad-hoc reporting such as W-2's, timekeeping, payroll, or other reports requested by management.Requirements of the Payroll Associate
