Audits scheduling and payroll records for processing and assists supervisors, employees, HR, and corporate headquarters with questions concerning payroll, time reporting, or company policies. Ensures accurate and timely payroll.
Audits and verifies Kronos scheduling and timecard data in the payroll system.Supports supervisors with Kronos scheduling.Determines and tracks time reporting (leave, overtime, holiday, callout work, etc.).Runs and distributes various payroll and monthly, quarterly, and annual reports (manpower, employee listings, overtime, etc.).Assists with tracking attendance management absences.Assists with fatigue management reporting and manages exceptions in database.Maintains payroll procedures manual and Kronos manual.Maintains local pay practices document.Provide timecard procedure training to new hires and current employees.Reviews, analyzes, and checks payroll journals to ensure accuracy and makes the necessary adjustments or corrections as needed.Assists with verifying payroll information for all new hires, current employees, and past employees.Assists with the processing and distribution of regular and off-cycle paychecks.Assists with ordering and generating yearly Operations shift calendar.Assists with generating yearly vacation templates.Supports employees with expense reports and per diem requests.Handles office supply inventory and ordering.Manages mail distribution.Assists with planning and implementing employee events.Answers walk-in, telephone, and e-mail inquiries.Follows all safety rules and guidelines as established by the Refinery.Other duties may be assigned.This position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.
The rate for this position is $22.03 to $30.30 and represents Valero’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of expected compensation at the time of this posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of job-related factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications and experience.
